(Cool beans -- this is the post that was supposed to show up earlier. Evidently it was wandering around cyberspace, taking it's jolly good time getting here...)

Yikes, Carol and Nathalie (who don't even know each other) are doubling up in their request for pictures. On a day when I've eaten my Wheaties, I might challenge one or the other, but definitely not both at the same time! So I promise I'm working on a post with a few pictures.

Grant (aka YODAMAN) asks where is the Oct. 4 entry? Well I guess it never happened, as here in Tokyo it is now Thursday Oct. 5 in the AM (Wed. evening back at home). Truth is, there hasn't been much to say. Yesterday was so full of lectures that I didn't even have time to leave the hotel. If I get a chance, I'll post a bit about yesterday's program sometime today. This morning's agenda looks enjoyable -- a field trip to a historic part of Tokyo and then a traditional Japanese lunch --- seated on the floor sans shoes. I'll definitely write about it.

At the moment, I need to complete my morning ablutions, and get down to breakfast.
