It's a lot like the word English word "allow," only switch the 'l' sound to an 'r' sound and stretch it out a bit to get three syllables: Ah-row-o
And that's where I'll be for the next few days. If you don't hear from me, it's not because I won't be trying to get online; but at a certain point I may just have to accept reality. I will keep writing blog entries, even if I can't post them, and in that case you'll get a bunch of posts at once in about a week.
Today I'll meet my host family for a couple hours, and then stay with them this coming Saturday and Sunday. Here's a short vid of our guide Naoko telling us that the family may not know any English. (Note: I'm pretty sure you won't be able to view the vid at school, and if you are at home on a dial-up, it's probably not worth the time it would take to download it).
